ABOUT THE ARTIST
Salima Hirji is a Canadian fine artist based in Lisbon, Portugal. She relocated to Lisbon in early 2022, embracing the city’s colours and culture as a backdrop for her emerging practice. You can typically find her dancing in front of the canvas with ease and freedom as the brush makes its marks. Salima’s approach is inherently playful, a characteristic that permeates both her traditional oil paintings and her digital creations. She’s currently using vivid, bold colours to capture the spectrum of emotion.
